SC Printers Inc. is a fictitious company that has been created for the purposes of demonstrating all of the strengths of the Sitecore CMS. Different areas on the site emphasize different functions, and we suggest you to run through the demonstration script (see below) at least once to get an idea of what is available. The site comes in two versions – a Virtual PC which can be installed by any partner which is Microsoft Certified Partner or has licences for the Microsoft Virtual Server. The other version is a simpler package, which although has the full site, does not have a number of the modules (e.g. forum) or servers (e.g. SharePoint) available.

The demonstration script is an end-to-end script that takes the reader/presenter through all aspects of the current demo site

Sitecore have decided to drop the Microsoft Virtual Image version of the demonstration in favour of the VMWare demonstation. We have found that this is compatible with a wider variety of PCs and is easier to install. It also runs faster and more stable than the Virtual PC.

The demonstration loaded on VMware Vizualisation software is and alternative to the Microsoft Virtual Server. It also allows us to bundle the servers that are required for a number of the modules. This fully functional demo environment can be run standalone from a Laptop or loaded onto a server for multiple users.

This demonstration is a standard Sitecore package and comprises all of the functionality that is available in this format. It is configured for use with the SQL server environment

The demo site is constantly being improved and updated. Please check this site regularly for updates. The change log indicates the changes, both in terms of fixes and features improvements, between versions
